 | Dear friends, Every year on November 25, the world marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This year we want to take the occasion of this important date to share with you a video clip produced for Woman to Woman’s 40th anniversary: |  | The clip was first screened at our fundraiser in the Jerusalem Theatre earlier this month.
We invite you to view a short compilation of greetings and congratulations from prominent personalities with whom Woman to Woman has enjoyed ongoing relationships,and to read the opening remarks of the evening’s emcee, Yelena, a former Shelter resident.
I am delighted to say that our fundraising event was a rousing success, and I want to express our appreciation to everyone who had a hand in making it as auspicious as it was. Special thanks to Achinoam Nini and Gil Dor for an astounding musical performance, and to our enthusiastic audience members, so many of whom have been our loyal supporters for many years.
We are very pleased to report that we raised over NIS 250,000 (after deducting incidental expenses), all of which will be used for the care and benefit of abused women and their children.
For over four decades, Woman to Woman has been a leading force in Israel in the struggle against violence directed at women. Every family that can be helped to achieve a life of security and dignity is a victory on this long path.
